Raymond and Nga's Wedding

July 07, 2017  •  Leave a Comment

Congratulations to Raymond and Nga! We started off the day at Raymond's and Nga's houses where they got ready separately. It is a Vietnamese custom for the groom to bring gifts representing the wealth that the groom's family will bring to the bride's family. Raymond and his family went over to Nga's family's house to receive the bride bearing these gifts. Then they had a traditional tea ceremony. Next, they tied the knot at Mother of Perpetual Help Parish (Giáo Xứ Đức Mẹ Hằng Cứu Giúp) for the Catholic ceremony. After that, we went over to Compassion Buddhist Temple to pray for Raymond's grandfather. We got really lucky with it not raining and were able to take photos at Breckenridge Park for the wedding party photos. The beautiful reception took place at the Atrium in Garland, TX.
